| Directions to road games for RPI Baseball. All these assume you can make it from wherever you are to the main arteries leading out of the Capital District, such as I-87, NY-7, NY-2 and the New York Thruway. Distances shown are from Troy and are approximate. Your mileage may vary. |
Castleton StateCoordinates: 43.604978, -73.182396I-87 North to Exit 20 (Whitehall). At the light take a left and follow NY-149 East to Ft. Ann (about 13 miles), then take US-4 North into Vermont. Leave US-4 at Exit 5 in Vermont. At the bottom of the ramp, take a right onto East Hubbardton Road. At the next intersection, take a right onto Main Street (VT-4A). In three-quarter mile, take a right onto South Street, which goes directly through the Castleton State campus. The baseball field is near Glenbrook Gymnasium, the second entrance on the right into the campus is the most direct route there. Distance: 85 miles (137 km) |
Massachusetts College of Liberal ArtsCoordinates: 42.686780, -73.085708NY-2 East into Massachusetts, then continue on the same road, now MA-2 East into North Adams. In North Adams take a right and follow Main Street down the hill towards the Holiday Inn. (This intersection occurs shortly after crossing a bridge over railroad tracks.) Go through the first light and take a right immediately after the Holiday Inn onto American Legion Drive. At the intersection with Ashland Drive, take a right onto Ashland (MA-8A South). Continue for about three miles (going under a railroad bridge). When there is a cemetery on the right, take a left onto West Shaft Road. Follow the road around until heading north again. When the road forks, bear to the left. At the top is the Zavattaro Athletic Complex. Distance: 40 miles (64 km) |
Montclair StateCoordinates: 40.868558, -74.195156New York Thruway (I-87) South to Exit 14A (Garden State Parkway). Follow the Garden State Parkway South into New Jersey. Leave the Garden State Parkway at Exit 154 and follow US-46 West to the Valley Road-Montclair exit. Travel south on Valley Road. After approximately one-quarter mile turn right into the university entrance. Yogi Berra Stadium is at the top of the hill on the right. Distance: 150 miles (241 km) |

At the third major intersection after I-87, take a right onto East Avenue. Continue to Broadway, then take a left onto Broadway. Two blocks later take a right onto First Street. Continue on First Street as it becomes Clement Avenue. At the intersection with Seward Street, take a right (north) onto Seward, which becomes Denton Road when the road curves to the left. Pass under the railroad bridge and Castle Diamond appears ahead on the right, after the intersection following the railroad bridge. NOTE: The facility is not on the Skidmore campus. St. LawrenceCoordinates: 44.584722, -75.164261I-87 North to Exit 23. After exiting head west and follow the signs leading to NY-28. Take NY-28 North into Indian Lake, picking up NY-30. Follow NY-30 to Tupper Lake, then take NY-3 West. After about 18 miles, take a right onto NY-56 North and follow it into Colton, then take NY-68. After about 3.5 miles there is a fork in the road and NY-68 goes to the right. Bear left onto Pierrepont-Canton Road, which eventually becomes Brick Chapel Road and intersects with Canton-Russell Road. Continue north on Canton-Russell Road and after crossing the bridge St. Lawrence University appears ahead. Take the first left after the bridge and go behind the athletic facilities. UnionCoordinates: 42.798068, -73.913389NY-7 West. Stay on NY-7 at the NY-7/Union Street split. Approximately one mile after the split is the intersection with Golf Road. Turn right onto Golf. When the road ends, turn left onto Fehr Avenue. Shortly (after approximately 300 yards), turn right onto Duck Pond Road. After passing the duck pond (on the right) there is an intersection. Go right onto Central Park Road. At this point the field is on the left. Parking is ahead on the left. NOTE: The facility is not on the Union campus. Distance: 15 miles (24 km) |

At the next light turn right onto Hooker Avenue. Turn right across from the gas station (intersection with Cedar Avenue on the left). Prentiss Field's baseball facility is ahead on the right.
