|Directions to road games for RPI Men's Hockey. All these assume you can make it from wherever you are to the main arteries out of the Capital District, such as I-87, NY-7, NY-2 and the New York Thruway. Distances shown are from Troy and are approximate. Your mileage may vary.|
Alaska (Brice Alaska Goal Rush)

New York Thruway (I-90) West and stay on I-90 through New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and into Wisconsin until Exit 45, the intersection with I-94. Follow I-94 through the rest of Wisconsin, Minnesota and into North Dakota. At Exit 260 leave I-94 and follow US-52 West (northerly direction). US-52 was concurrent with I-94 prior to this exit. US-52 leads to the international border at Portal, North Dakota. Cross into Canada. Take SK-39 West to the outskirts of Moose Jaw, where it terminates at Trans Canada-1. Head west on Trans Canada-1 into Moose Jaw until it intersects Main Street (also SK-2). Take a right on Main Street and head north, remaining on SK-2 to Chamberlain when SK-2 intersects SK-11. Follow SK-11 North to Saskatoon, where it multiplexes with Trans Canada-16. When the roads split north of the city, remain on Trans Canada-16 as it goes to Edmonton (in Alberta). West of Edmonton (west of Stony Plain), leave Trans Canada-16 for AB-43 West, which continues across the province and into British Columbia and becomes BC-2. In Dawson Creek take a left onto BC-49, which soon becomes BC-97 at a fork. Stay to the right and continue on BC-97 North (Alaska Highway) as it crosses into the Yukon Territory. The Alaska Highway diverts back to British Columbia twice after first entering the Yukon Territory. Remain on the road, which continues as YT-1 in the Yukon Territory and finally crosses into Alaska north of Beaver Creek as AK-2. Continue on AK-2 into Fairbanks and exit west onto Airport Way after AK-2 turns north in Fairbanks. After 1.5 miles turn right on Wilbur Street and drive three blocks. The Carlson Center is straight ahead. NOTE: The facility is not on the Alaska campus.

I-90 East to the New York Thruway-Berkshire Extension (I-90) to Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). Turnpike East to Exit 14 (I-95/MA-128 North). Follow I-95 North to Exit 26, then take US-20 East towards Waltham. After two miles, in Waltham Center (just pass City Hall), turn right onto Elm Street. Go over the railroad tracks and bear left onto River Street. After one mile, River Street becomes Pleasant Street. After 3/10 mile, take a right at blinking light onto Paramount Street. John A. Ryan Skating Arena is directly ahead. NOTE: The facility is not on the Bentley campus.

I-90 East to New York Thruway-Berkshire Extension (I-90) to Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). Turnpike East to Exit 10A, then take MA-146 South, which leads all the way to Providence (on RI-146). When RI-146 merges with I-95 South, stay to the left. Exit I-95 at the I-195 interchange (Exit 20) and take I-195 East towards Cape Cod, then get off at Exit 3 (Gano Street). Go to the bottom of the ramp and turn right. At the fourth light take a left onto Angel Street. Go up the hill and take a right onto Hope Street. Meehan Auditorium is one-quarter mile down on the right side.

I-87 North to Exit 23. After exiting head west and follow the signs leading to NY-28. Take NY-28 North into Indian Lake, then pick up NY-30. Follow NY-30 to Tupper Lake, then take NY-3 West. After about 18 miles, take a right onto NY-56 North and follow it to Potsdam. At the second light after passing SUNY Potsdam, take a left and follow US-11 South. At the downtown intersection (in front of the Clarkson Inn), bear left. Continue on US-11. At the next major intersection (it is a little odd), go left and remain on US-11 until the left appears for the main entrance to the Clarkson campus (it is indicated by brick walls labeled with "Clarkson University"). Enter the campus and continue straight until there is a large parking lot on the right side. At the end of that parking lot is the Cheel Center, which contains Cheel Arena.

New York Thruway (I-90) West to Exit 33 (Verona-Rome-Oneida). Follow NY-365 West to Oneida Castle, then take NY-5 West (briefly) to NY-46 South. Continue on NY-46 South until it intersects with NY-12B, then follow NY-12B South. NY-12B leads directly into Hamilton. Drive through town; go past a pond on the left. Go through the light. Most of the college is on the left. Starr Rink is on the right (not signed, but with the other Colgate athletic facilities). It is the second curved-roofed building. NOTE: The hospital is further beyond Starr Rink. Turn around if the hospital appears.

If at Colgate the night before: If staying close to Hamilton, take US-20 West to I-81 South. If staying close to Utica, take the New York Thruway (I-90) West to I-81 South. Either way, follow I-81 South to Exit 11, then take NY-13 South into Ithaca. It becomes a divided highway just before the city. After it becomes an undivided road again, continue until reaching the intersection with NY-79 (Green Street). Take a left onto Green; go through the business district, until the intersection with Stewart Avenue and East State Street. Go left onto Stewart and up the hill. Pick up the directions below at **.
If coming from Troy: New York Thruway (I-90) West to Exit 25A. I-88 South to Exit 8, then take NY-206 West until it intersects with NY-79 near Whitney Point (about 30 miles). Follow NY-79 into Ithaca. After passing the Mitchell Street, then Eddy Street, intersections, there is an intersection with Stewart and Green. Go right onto Stewart Avenue and up the hill. When the road forks (Stewart left, Campus Road right), take Campus Road to the right. ** Keep right at the next fork (West Avenue) and go around the bend. At the intersection with Central stay on Campus Road and Lynah Rink appears farther ahead on the left. Before Lynah is a parking garage on the right.

If at Harvard the night before: Find I-93 North. The Mass Pike (I-90), heading east, leads to I-93 (the Big Dig). Follow I-93 North into New Hampshire. At Exit 11 in New Hampshire, leave I-93 and take I-89 North. Shortly after crossing into Vermont, I-89 intersects I-91. Take I-91 North and pick up the directions below at **.
If coming from Troy: NY-7 East to near the Vermont border. When NY-7 takes a right at an intersection, head straight on the Bennington Bypass, labeled TO VT-279. Follow VT-279 until it intersects US-7. Take US-7 North into Manchester, and then follow VT-11 across the state, past the major ski areas, until it intersects I-91. ** Follow I-91 North to Exit 13. Head east after exiting; go across the bridge and up a hill. Go through the first light, snake through campus, and at the second light take a right onto NH-120 (South Park Street). Continue on NH-120 South to the next traffic light, then take a left at this light to enter the Thompson Arena parking lot.

Follow the Turnpike until Exit 18, the Allston/Cambridge exit, and follow the signs to Allston/Brighton, which leads onto Cambridge Street. Turn right at the second set of lights onto North Harvard Street and continue for one mile to Harvard Stadium Gate 6. Turn left into the gate and follow the road around the stadium and the Bright Hockey Center is ahead on the left.

I-90 East to New York Thruway-Berkshire Extension (I-90) to Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). Turnpike East to Exit 10 (I-290). Take I-290 East to I-495 (Exit 26). Follow I-495 North to the US-3/Lowell Connector Exit. Follow the Lowell Connector to Exit 5B (Thorndike Street) and travel on Thorndike, which bears to the right after crossing the river and becomes Dutton Street. At the end of Dutton, veer left onto Moody Street, which quickly becomes Arcand Drive. Tsongas Arena is at the end of Arcand.

At the south end of Oxford, turn left on Chestnut Street (OH-732) and proceed west approximately one-quarter mile to Oak Street. New York Thruway (I-90) West. Stay on I-90 through Pennsylvania and into Ohio. Beyond Cleveland I-90 merges with I-80 and becomes the Ohio Turnpike. Stay on the Turnpike into Indiana, where it becomes the Indiana Toll Road (remaining I-80/I-90). Take Exit 77 and turn right onto IN-933. At the fourth traffic light onto Angela Boulevard. Continue traveling east as Angela Boulevard becomes Edison Road at the intersection with Eddy Street. After the intersection with Duey Street/Joyce Drive the Compton Family Center is on the left. Take a left onto Leahy Drive to enter the campus.

New York Thruway (I-87) South to Exit 15. Follow I-287 South to Exit 17, then US-206 South into Princeton. When US-206 takes a right turn at a stoplight, take a left onto Nassau Street. Less than one-half mile later take a right onto Washington Road. Follow Washington Road down the hill to Faculty Road, take a right onto Faculty Road, then a right onto Elm Drive. At the circle, go around 270 degrees (a left from Elm) and head straight. Go behind the parking garage and Baker Rink is ahead on the right.

Follow CT-40 West (Mount Carmel Connector) until it terminates at CT-10, then follow CT-10 (Whitney Avenue) North. Stay on CT-10 for three-quarter mile, then take a left onto Sherman Avenue. The entrance to the TD Bank Sports Center is approximately one-quarter mile on the right and is well signed.

If at Clarkson the night before: Get on US-11 South towards Canton. When in the center of town, take a left onto Park Street (it is an intersection with traffic lights). Take the second right onto Maple Street. At the end of Maple, turn left onto Miner Street. Appleton Arena appears shortly on the left.
If coming from Troy: I-87 North to Exit 23. After exiting head west and follow the signs leading to NY-28. Take NY-28 North into Indian Lake, picking up NY-30. Follow NY-30 to Tupper Lake, then take NY-3 West. After about 18 miles, take a right onto NY-56 North and follow it into Colton, then take NY-68. After about 3.5 miles there is a fork in the road and NY-68 goes to the right. Bear left onto Pierrepont-Canton Road, which eventually becomes Brick Chapel Road and intersects with Canton-Russell Road. Continue north on Canton-Russell Road and after crossing the bridge St. Lawrence University appears ahead. Take a left onto Maple Street. At the end of Maple, turn left onto Miner Street. Appleton Arena appears shortly on the left.

NY-7 West. Bear right when choosing at the Union Street/NY-7 fork. This is Union Street. After approximately 2.5 miles, there is a light with the college entrance just ahead on the right. Do not go into the college, continue straight and shortly reach the intersection with Seward Place. Take a right onto Seward. At the next major intersection (with Nott Street), take a right. Entrances to the college and parking soon appear on the right. Messa Rink is to the east after parking. Just follow the people.

Ingalls Rink appears on the right at the corner of Prospect and Sachem Streets.
